Raised in South Florida, I spent years building a life and family — raising my kids in Georgia before finally following a lifelong dream back to the coast.

When my husband Robert and I found our spot in Sarasota, we dove into renovations together with big plans and paint-covered hands. We lost him suddenly in the middle of it all — a cardiac arrest that nobody saw coming.

But the walls were half-painted, and Robert believed in this place. So I kept going — this time with our thirteen-year-old daughter by my side, showing up every single day without being asked.
